Job Description:

• Acquires, edits, and produces commercial broadcast video and audio informational material for use on multiple platforms including web and traditional media platforms using industry standard editing and graphic design software with an emphasis in Adobe Creative suite 6 Premium software
• Uses digital photography, which includes the use of professional journalism industry standard digital cameras, to capture still imagery, documenting both controlled and uncontrolled actions
• Understands and applies the principles of layout and design of photographic projects using industry standard software, with an emphasis on Adobe Creative suite 6 Production Premium software, and hardware for layout, editing and producing final, edited multimedia products
• Operates a variety of video cameras, video editing systems, audio, lighting and studio equipment
• Applies principles of video framing, composition, visualization, storytelling, audio and non-linear editing, and export of final products for distribution
• Prepares sets to include positioning of lights, cameras, sound, properties and personnel, and ensures special audio and visual effects are used effectively
• Incorporates the fundamental principles of design and layout, including digital color theory, typography, digital illustration, raster-based graphics, and digital page layout, including websites and interactive multimedia products for both projected media and hard copy output
• Uses oral, writing, and editing skills to produce concise products that clearly and logically convey complex information and ideas
